Britney Spears‘ son Jayden James Federline is rushing to his mother’s defense over the “clone theory.”
The 19-year-old son of the “Toxic” singer and Kevin Federline debunked a rumor that claims his mom is not alive and has been cloned. During a July 17 livestream, he began, “I hop on TikTok and everyone on TikTok — I see this one video that has 1.2 million likes, and the caption is like, ‘The biggest theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?’
“Like, bro, you can go to her page and see her right now,” he added.
Jayden went on to say he now realizes how easily rumors can be “exaggerated and fake.”
“People know how gullible people are and they use that to their advantage,” he continued. “Anyone that sees it, they just see it and if it has a lot of likes, they [believe] it. They don’t even research it, they’re just, ‘Wow, yeah, it’s crazy. I believe it though.'”
Jayden is the singer’s youngest child. Including the 19-year-old, Britney had two boys with her ex-husband.
Britney reunited with her sons, Jayden and Sean, in December 2024. She reportedly had a strained relationship with her kids after her conservatorship was terminated in 2021.
During her hearing, Jayden spoke on behalf of himself and his brother, admitting they had conflicted feelings about their mother’s social media usage.
“It’s almost like she has to post something on Instagram to get attention,” he said. “This has gone on for years and years and years, and there’s a high chance that this is never going to really stop, but I’m hoping for me, maybe she will.”
Around the same time, Jayden also released a statement to his mother that read, “I love you a lot, and I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit down . . . and talk again and have a normal conversation.”
After his public declaration, the two brothers focused on “processing all the emotional trauma that we’ve been through.”
A source told The Sun that Britney is now “focusing on rebuilding” her bond with her sons. They are working towards becoming “super close” again.
