Brighton, N.Y. — The Town of Brighton is making changes to its bulk pickup service for town refuse districts.
Bulk collection will be done on Mondays, starting immediately. Residents will use the same process they currently use to order bulk pickup, which needs to be scheduled by the preceding Thursday in order to be picked up on Monday.
The town said the change, which comes at no additional cost to residents, will make the service simpler and more efficient.
"That's one of the advantages to being part of the refuse district," Town Supervisor Bill Moehle said. "You're not on the phone yourself calling Waste Management on hold, on hold, on hold. We work with them, and that's how we're able to set up programs like this."
