In a social media post, the city encouraged residents to monitor the weather, especially if they have plans on the water. The city also encouraged residents to make sure they have a plan if action becomes necessary.

The city also encouraged residents to check storm drains near their homes for leaves, grass clippings, trash and other debris. The city's emergency management coordinator said crews are conducting routine ditch maintenance and making sure high-water vehicles are staged and ready for use.

Beaumont's Emergency Operations Center is coordinating with local, state and federal partners.
