A unique members-only concept Nike store at Fritz Farm in Lexington has closed.
According to a voicemail on the store’s phone, it closed July 13.
The store, which opened in November 2022 at 4084 Finn Way across from J. Alexander restaurant, was designed as part of a new concept called Nike Live, a smaller footprint that was built around members with frequent new merchandise drops.
According to Nike’s website, the store is now closed permanently, as is one in the Oxmoor Center in Louisville. The only remaining Nike store in Kentucky appears to be the Nike Factory Store in The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass in Simpsonville.
The footwear and apparel company has been closing stores across the country as it faces a challenging year. Its stock fell to an 11-year low and it shuttered its flagship store in New York City in January.
Fritz Farm, an upscale shopping and living development, was purchased for $137 million in May 2025 by Hendricks Commercial Properties, which has announced an expansion as well as several new stores, including a Lego store, and dining concepts, including a new Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.
