Alan Ritchson Fights Jason Statham in the $700M Action Hit Taking Over Prime Video

Forget Reacher, Alan Ritchson's $700 million action movie with Jason Statham has become a smash hit on Prime Video.

2026 has been a big year for Alan Ritchson already, and he hasn’t even returned in the fourth season of Reacher on Prime Video yet. This is coming, though, as Prime Video has already announced an August 12 release date for Reacher Season 4, as well as a September 16 launch date for its first spin-off, Neagley. Ritchson ventured over to Netflix earlier this year for one of the biggest sci-fi movies of 2026, War Machine, which even managed to crack Netflix’s all-time top 10 after earning over 130 million views. Netflix confirmed around the same time that it landed in the top 10 that a sequel to the film is officially in the works with Ritchson expected to return. The star also has a new action movie, Motor City, coming to theaters next weekend between The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

While War Machine was a massive success, it’s far from the first movie that Ritchson has starred in that earned global notoriety. Back in 2023, he teamed up with Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, and a host of other stars for Fast X, the tenth and penultimate installment in the Fast & Furious franchise. With a budget reported to be around $350 million, Fast X is one of the most expensive movies ever made, and the film only narrowly turned a profit by grossing $704 million at the global box office. In the years since its premiere, Fast X has found a home streaming on Peacock (along with all other Universal productions), and the film has also surged into the VOD top 10 on platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV in more than 15 countries around the world.

When Does the Last ‘Fast & Furious’ Movie Come Out?

The 11th and final Fast & Furious movie, tentatively titled Fast Forever, will be released in theaters on March 17, 2028. Vin Diesel has taken to his personal Instagram over the last week to share the first images from the set of Fast Forever, confirming that the film has begun pre-production. Both Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson are expected to return in Fast Forever as Deckard Shaw and Luke Hobbs, with Jason Momoa also returning as Dante Reyes. Other members of the Fast family such as Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris are also expected back for one final ride.

Check out Fast X on Peacock in America, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the 11th and final Fast & Furious movie.
