The beer brand’s latest summer sweepstakes comes with an over-the-top prize that’s built to beat the heat.
Key points
- Natural Light is giving away a solar-powered CoolShed, an insulated outdoor cold storage unit with room for dozens of cases of beer, plus a prepaid card worth $15,531.60 to cover what the brand calls a lifetime supply of Natural Light.
- The CoolShed is the latest in Natural Light’s lineup of novelty outdoor products, as the brand leans into backyard projects and summer beer-drinking culture.
- The sweepstakes runs through July 31, 2026, and is open to U.S. residents ages 21 and older.
This month, light beer fans can win a Natural Light–branded, solar-powered, walk-in outdoor cold-storage shed, along with ample funds to stock it with Natural Light beer. Powered primarily by high-capacity monocrystalline solar panels, the aptly named CoolShed is insulated with an aluminum composite and offers 250 cubic feet of cooling space, plus enough shelving to keep dozens of cases of Natural Light chilled in the backyard.
Brewed with hops, malt, and corn, Natural Light — often colloquially referred to as “Natty” or “Natty Light” — has 4.2% ABV and 95 calories. “Natty fans spend their summers mowing, fixing, building, and grilling,” says Krystyn Stowe, head of marketing for Busch Family and Natural Family at Anheuser-Busch. She says after expending all that effort, fans want an “ice-cold beer when the job is done.” That’s exactly what this sweepstakes is designed to deliver.

One sweepstakes winner will receive a fully built CoolShed plus $15,531.60 on a prepaid card, which the brand says is enough to purchase two 24-packs of Natural Light each month for 35 years, the equivalent of 840 cases. (A lifetime supply, the brand says — assuming you didn’t already get your fill in college.) The CoolShed joins Natural Light’s recent lawn-related marketing efforts, including the launch of Lawn Brew, a 64-ounce packaged mix of spent beer grain and fertilizer that can be ordered online for $14.99, and the Treadmower — a treadmill outfitted with artificial turf, a screen, and a lawn mower deck and handle to simulate mowing the lawn — which was offered as a sweepstakes prize earlier this year.
Owned by AB InBev, the Belgium-based beverage multinational and the largest brewing company in the world, Natural Light was launched in 1977 by St. Louis–based Anheuser-Busch as the brand’s first reduced-calorie light beer. In 2008, Natural Light earned a bronze medal in the World Beer Cup’s American-style Light Lager category.

July is typically the hottest month of the year in the U.S., and forecasters are already predicting more heat waves this season. Meanwhile, analysts say federal legislation phasing out clean energy tax incentives will also contribute to higher electricity prices. “Even the toughest garage fridge runs the risk of tapping out in such a swelter,” the brand says. There’s really no better time to win a free solar-paneled cooler-shed.
From now through July 31, 2026, U.S. residents 21 and older can enter the Natural Light CoolShed Sweepstakes at NaturalLight.com/CoolShed. In addition to a chance to win the grand prize, the first 500 eligible entrants will receive a $15 prepaid card. Giveaway prizes are not available to residents of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Maine, Texas, or West Virginia.
