ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Two young men were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a shooting at the Childs Park YMCA in St. Petersburg.
Officers responded to a emergency call at the facility, located at 691 43rd St. S., around 2:09 p.m. Inside a bathroom at the YMCA, police located a young man suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency personnel transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
Shortly after officers arrived at the scene, a second young man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound connected to the same incident.
Authorities have not released the identity or age of either victim. Their current medical conditions remain unknown.
The St. Petersburg Police Department has not announced any arrests or named any suspects in connection with the shooting. Officials stated that additional details will be provided as the ongoing investigation progresses.
