The Indiana Fever will look to head into the All-Star break on a three-game winning streak when they host the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday. After consecutive victories over the Seattle Storm and New York Liberty, Indiana has improved to 16-10. Caitlin Clark featured in both games as she continues to recover from a back injury that has troubled her throughout the season.
Clark’s workload has been carefully managed since returning from a one-game injury absence against the Las Vegas Aces. The Fever guard played four consecutive games on a minutes restriction.
On Tuesday, Clark again appeared on the Fever’s injury report and was listed as probable to face the Sun.
She was eventually cleared to play Wednesday and will appear in her 23rd game of the season.
Ahead of Wednesday’s game, head coach Stephanie White announced that Clark will have no minutes restriction against Connecticut (h/t Tony East of Forbes Sports).
Clark has played 29.3 minutes per game this season, the lowest of her WNBA career, and is averaging a career-high 20.7 points with 7.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds. She recorded her most minutes (40) on June 11 against the Chicago Sky, scoring 32 points in a 114-106 overtime win.
Clark’s performance earned her a starting spot in the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game, her third consecutive All-Star nod. The Fever star will hope to continue her impressive season as Indiana hosts a Sun team that will be without star center Brittney Griner and Aaliyah Edwards.
