The Las Vegas Aces dropped their final game before the WNBA All-Star break, 100-99, as they fell to the Washington Mystics on the road. But in the process, Aces star A’ja Wilson had a WNBA history making night with her final stat line, as per StatMuse.
A’ja Wilson finished with 38 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocked shots in the Aces’ loss to the Storm, becoming the first player in WNBA history to put up that combination of numbers. She shot 12-of-16 from the field, 2-of-3 from the 3-point line and 12-of-13 from the free-throw line.
With the loss, the Aces fell to 18-8 on the season. They are still the No. 3 seed in the league standings, but now a full three games behind the No. 1 seed Minnesota Lynx, and a full game behind the No. 2 seed Golden State Valkyries. They are also only half a game up on the No. 4 seed Dallas Wings.

Off the record-setting performance, Wilson is headed to Chicago for her sixth straight All-Star selection, and eighth overall. One of the top MVP candidates for the first half of the season, Wilson has appeared in 23 games at a little over 31 minutes per game.
She’s been averaging 25.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.0 blocked shots with splits of 52.5 percent shooting from the field, 43.4 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 83.4 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
Wilson is coming off her second consecutive MVP Award, and fourth overall. She is also the reigning Finals MVP after leading the Aces to their third championship in four years.
