A 16-year-old boy died on Wednesday after crashing into an SUV while traveling on a makeshift e-bike in Van Nuys, according to police.
The crash was reported sometime around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and Noble Avenue. There, the teenager was traveling on a makeshift e-bike that had an engine similar to what lawnmowers use.
