A passenger bus carrying travelers from Schenectady to New York City overturned Tuesday morning on the New York State Thruway in Ulster County, sending 10 passengers to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to New York State Police.
The crash happened around 9:21 a.m. on Interstate 87 southbound near mile marker 69.5 in the town of Plattekill, between Exit 18 (New Paltz/Poughkeepsie) and Exit 17 (Newburgh/I-84).

State Police said the bus was traveling from Schenectady to New York City when it overturned.
Ten passengers were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Passengers who were not injured were transported by another bus to a reunification center established by the Ulster County Office of Emergency Management.
Driver identified
Police identified the driver as Zhangrong Wang, 44, of Woodside.
Investigators said Wang showed no signs of impairment, and no tickets have been issued. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Traffic impacts
The crash closed the left lanes of both the southbound and northbound Thruway for several hours while emergency crews responded and investigators processed the scene.
All lanes have since reopened.
Investigation continues
State Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the incident to contact the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Highland at 845-344-5300.
Multiple fire, EMS and emergency management agencies from Ulster County assisted at the scene.
