Zelina Vega has filed a trademark application for her new ring name after her WWE exit.
On Monday, July 20, 2026, Zelina Vega filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to trademark the name “Xelina.” The office has accepted her application and has yet to assign it to an examining attorney.
“IC 041: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing sports information in the field of wrestling; Providing a website featuring entertainment information in the fields of sports; Providing entertainment information in the field of sports via online community portal; Event management services being organizing and conducting special events for social entertainment purposes; Providing on-line newsletters in the field of sports entertainment; Providing online, non-downloadable, short-form videos in the field of sports entertainment via social media websites,” the description of Vega’s application reads.
WWE released Zelina Vega in April 2026
WWE released Zelina Vega and her husband Aleister Black as part of the post-WrestleMania 42 talent cuts in April. Vega had a decent second run with the promotion after her return in 2021, winning that year’s Queen of the Ring Tournament, becoming part of the Latino World Order, and winning the Women’s United States Championship in 2025. The company paired her with her husband Black on-screen in October 2025, but nothing significant came of it.
Neither Zelina Vega nor Aleister Black has returned to the ring after their release from WWE, and there were conflicting reports regarding Black’s potential return to AEW. While she previously competed under her real name, Thea Trinidad, and other names like Rosita, Divina Fly, and Snookie Fly in TNA and the indies, it will be interesting to see where she ends up next competing as Xelina.
