A woman and a girl have been treated in hospital after they were hit by a ladder which fell off a truck.
Jersey Police said the pair were walking on the pavement along St Clement's Coast Road when they were struck near the Hotel Ambassadeur on Tuesday between 12:45 and 13:05 BST.
The force said the truck, which had a grey and red cab with a diagonal red stripe, was carrying several scaffolding poles. It added the driver checked on the two injured pedestrians and collected the ladder.
Officers said they wanted to identify the driver, and asked anyone with information to contact them or Crimestoppers.
