Amy Duggar King isn't counting on a family reunion anytime soon.

The 19 Kids and Counting alum shared a glimpse into her decision to keep her distance from uncle Jim Bob Duggar, aunt Michelle Duggar and many of her cousins.

"I have heard nothing from them," Amy revealed in an exclusive interview with Oxygen. "Absolutely, there is no contact. That is just something that I have put boundaries in place."

"I don't know what they're thinking," she admitted. "I don't know really what's going on on that side of the family. From what I see in the news that I've gathered, it's heavy. It's really heavy."

Although Amy—who shares son Daxton King, 6, with husband Dillon King—only maintains a close bond with cousin Jill Duggar, she is always more than happy to reconnect with more of her family.

"I would be open to a conversation with any of my cousins that are free and good people," she emphasized. "I would love to connect with maybe some of the girls. However, they have to be able to have an open and honest conversation with me."

"If you wanna get to know the real me, the door is open," she added, "but I'm gonna protect my son no matter what, from anyone and everyone I possibly can that I think might have some issues. So far, no one has really walked through it except for Jill. Jill and I are so extremely close."

Among the cousins that the Holy Disruptor author isn't interested in reconnecting with, however, is Joseph Duggar, who pleaded not guilty to lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under 12 and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person over 18 in March.

"Jill and I were in communication the second we found out," Amy recalled of Joseph's arrest. "I can't describe the amount of pain that she has felt through all of the different scandals and all the different horrible things that have happened in our family. My heart just goes out to her."

"I don't hate them," she said. "I want them all to be healthy. I want all to flourish and be really successful in life and be good parents and love children and protect children and tell the truth."

"I feel like the truth has always been so hard to find in my family," Amy admitted. "I hate that. I just wanna break cycles. I wanna be the one that breaks cycles and continues to stand up for the victim and continue to stand up for what is right, whatever that looks like."
