Katie Holmes has a new beau!

The Batman Begins actress has been spotted out and about with New York City-based artist Jason Bard Yarmosky since early July 2026, and sources have told PEOPLE that the two are romantically involved.

Holmes and Yarmosky met at a dinner and went on a date shortly afterward, an insider previously shared. In the following weeks, they were seen spending time together, holding hands in East Hampton, N.Y., on July 10 and grabbing dinner together four days later.

“Katie has always been drawn to people who are creative,” one source told PEOPLE. “She loves being around people who are passionate about what they do. She enjoys learning and experiencing new things.”

Yarmosky is a successful artist who was born and raised in N.Y.C. He studied art at the School of Visual Arts and has gone on to specialize in paintings and drawings centering around “themes of aging, time and memory,” per his website.

Here’s everything to know about Katie Holmes’ boyfriend, Jason Bard Yarmosky.

Yarmosky was born and raised in New York, and his grandparents have inspired his work

Yarmosky was born in 1987 in New York and frequently spent time on the East End of Long Island as a child, per his bio for Guild Hall.

Yarmosky developed a special relationship with his grandparents, who were often the subjects of his artistic work.

“For over ten years, his grandparents were the subjects of his portraits, helping him explore the complex aspects of growing older including vulnerability, care, wisdom, and humor,” his website reads. “These works became a celebration of aging, resisting cultural tendencies that diminish joy, individuality, and dignity in later life.”

In an April 2026 interview with Numéro New York, Yarmosky specifically remembered painting his grandparents dressed in costumes.

“The first few paintings I ever made were my grandmother dressed up as a bunny and my grandfather as a cowboy,” Yarmosky said.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Yarmosky returned to his family’s house following the deaths of his grandparents. He reflected on that time as a “restorative experience for his life and practice.”

Yarmosky is a renowned artist

In the years since he started painting, Yarmosky has gone on to have paintings and drawings shown in galleries and museums across the world.

He graduated from the School of Visual Arts in N.Y.C. with a BFA in 2010. He has had his artwork exhibited in the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, San Antonio Museum of Art and Yellowstone Art Museum, among several others, per his website.

He has also displayed his work, which blends “traditional 17th- and 18th-century painting techniques with contemporary imagery,” in galleries across the world, from Los Angeles to Paris.

Most recently, Yarmosky’s “Timeless Women in New York” portrait series was displayed in the flagship Bergdorf Goodman Fifth Avenue storefront in N.Y.C.

“I’m inspired by the overlap between costume and fashion; how a dress can convey personal style and yet create a persona,” he told WWD of his display in May 2025. “The right garment can embolden a sitter to reveal themselves, expressing identity and personality. Each portrait unveils a timeless woman, mirrored in fashion, revealing unique qualities I find to be of New York.”

He continued, “I feel that photography has become so over-accessible and has replaced what painting was able to do in its relationship with fashion back then. In a way, this project is bringing that back to the forefront in that sense.”

Yarmosky sparked romantic speculation with Holmes on July 10 when they were photographed holding hands at a screening of The Invite in East Hampton, N.Y.

“He was whispering in her ear, and she was laughing, they seemed very easy together and there was a smile on her face all night,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “They sat together during the movie, she had her head on his shoulder at one point. They looked very cute.”

An insider close to Holmes later shared that the actress and Yarmosky first hit it off at a dinner and started seeing each other afterward.

“They went on a date shortly after and she finds him interesting,” the source said. “Katie has always been drawn to people who are creative. She loves being around people who are passionate about what they do. She enjoys learning and experiencing new things.”

Just a few days after their first public outing, Holmes and Yarmosky were seen grabbing dinner together in downtown Manhattan.

“Katie and Jason looked so happy after dinner walking together, hugging, smiling at each other, and patting each other on the back,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “Jason even gently opened the car door for her to get in. They looked so happy and in love.”

The couple later stepped out for another date night at the exclusive Soho Sessions concert series in N.Y.C. on July 21. Holmes and Yarmosky were seen holding hands, kissing and embracing while watching Sienna Spiro perform.
