Everyone’s favorite fast-running, mischievous, coin-collecting hedgehog is turning 35. To mark the occasion, Wendy’s is launching a new kids’ meal experience.
Fans of Sonic the Hedgehog will have the opportunity to collect seven character card cases, with a total of 35 cards in all.

7 character card cases and 35 cards to collect
Wendy’s announced July 20 in a news release that now through early September, the kids’ meal experience at participating locations will celebrate the 35th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Each meal features one of seven collectible character card cases, as well as a set of character cards from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe.
There are 35 trading cards across seven different character sets, with iconic heroes like the franchise’s namesake himself, as well as Amy Rose and Miles "Tails" Prower, faithful allies Silver the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna, and notorious villains Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat.
'An exciting new memory to be made'
According to Wendy’s, the promotion initially launched in the United Kingdom earlier this year.
"From Sonic the Hedgehog to Amy Rose, every character card tells a story and holds an exciting new memory ready to be made with a Wendy's Kids' Meal," the company noted in its news release.
Wendy’s kids’ meals include two-piece chicken tenders, 4-piece chicken nuggets, a hamburger or cheeseburger, served alongside junior hot and crispy fries or apple bites, and a kids’ drink to wash it all down.
The Sonic the Hedgehog kids’ meal is available at participating locations while supplies last.
