Less than one month ago, singer-songwriter Noah Kahan hit the headlines when he took to his X account to beg his fans to stop pooping their pants at his concerts.
On June 27, the star wrote: “If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao," before joking: "I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that.”

It has to be assumed that Noah was referring to a TikTok circulating at the time that appeared to show the aftermath of a fan who had pooped during his gig. While I am not going to share the TikTok, I will share the written account that another concertgoer posted to Reddit at the time. For what it’s worth, this is obviously unverified, so perhaps take it with a grain of salt… But combined with the video and Noah’s tweet, I am inclined to ask: Why would they lie?

“Ok so the person who did this was one row in front of me in section AA,” the Reddit user began. “I guess they didn’t want to miss a couple songs to use the bathroom so they just straight up **** themselves (mind you not liquid or anything in case anyone thinks this was a accident) and started picking actual pieces of poop out of their butt and put it on the floor.”
“She started to waffle stomp the turds and acted like nothing happened but we flagged down security,” they went on. “One of the most unreal concert experiences I’ve ever witnessed.”
I’m sorry you had to read that, and I’m afraid to say that we aren’t quite done. Fast-forward to this week, and Noah’s fans are detailing a similar experience from Noah’s Queens, New York, concert on Sunday.

Posting to Threads, one attendee wrote: “Noah Kahan: 10/10. The woman who turned Section 125 into a restroom: 0/10. My biohazard urine soaked purse and everything inside it skipped the ride home and went straight into a Citi Field trash can. Spending $1,000 on tickets wasn’t supposed to end with replacing my belongings due [to] a feral creature turning a section into her personal toilet. @noahkahanmusic.”
They also shared a screenshot of a Reddit comment that they had replied to. The original comment reads: “I was so impressed by the show overall, but I was so angry at a group of seat jumpers who took the spots 2 rows in front of us. Everyone in our section (125) was pretty patient with their rude/obnoxious shenanigans until one girl literally pulled down her shorts and just peed! The poor people in front of them got their stuff ruined. When she was called out by the crowd, they high tailed it out of our section, but we could all smell it the rest of the night.”
The Threads user responded: “Can confirm. I was sitting in front of them. My purse didn’t survive the encounter, it went straight into the trash because some feral ******* decided Section 125 was a bathroom.”

Needless to say, people have been left absolutely disgusted by this story — especially with the wider context of poopgate, with one popular tweet sharing the most recent screenshots alongside the caption: “Hey can someone explain to me why this keeps happening at Noah Kahan concerts like what’s going on there.”
“********* 😭😭😭😭 what is up with all these ppl going to the bathroom in their seats at noah kahan concerts 😭😭😭😭” somebody else asked. Another tweeted: “Alright. it’s been fun. you’re all losing your Noah Kahan privileges.” While one more asked: “What is it about Noah Kahan that makes fans not use a traditional bathroom?”
This epidemic comes shortly after Olivia Rodrigo revealed that artists can SMELL fans who wear diapers to their concerts to secure a front-row spot. During a recent appearance on the UK’s KISS FM Radio station, the 23-year-old star was asked about the worst place she’s ever had to relieve herself.
“I can’t think of anything for myself,” Olivia began. “But I have been to certain concerts and certain festivals where people wear diapers so that they can be front row of the show, and that’s been an experience as a performer that I have… smelled.”

Needless to say, the hosts were totally shocked by this, but Olivia continued: “It’s also like in the ball drop in New York for New Year’s Eve. Everyone’s wearing diapers, they sit there all day…. It’s a real thing.”
Who would have thought that just a couple of weeks later, the fans in diapers would be considered a step up? As always, let me know your thoughts on all of the above in the comments below!
