TYBR Health lands $30m to advance orthopaedic hydrogel platform

Following TYBR’s B3 GEL’s US launch in January 2026, the company primarily intends to use the funds to expand market access to the hydrogel.

TYBR Health has raised $30m to advance its hydrogel system, designed to promote healing following orthopaedic surgeries.

The Texas-based company’s Series A financing round was led by Vensana Capital and Mutual Capital Partners. Neovate Capital Partners and existing investors also participated.

TYBR plans to use the funds to expand commercial access to its B3 GEL system, broaden its indications and initiate clinical studies to further evaluate its role in protecting tissue during orthopaedic surgery.

Made from extracellular matrix hydrogel, B3 is applied at the surgical site before wound closure. It is designed to protect the anatomy while it heals, achieving functions including the separation of healing tissue planes to prevent raw tissue from ‘knitting together’, and to coat repaired tendons and ligaments so they glide smoothly against surrounding muscle and bone to improve early range of motion. B3 secured US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in June 2025.

B3 launched in the US in January 2026. According to TYBR, the hydrogel is predominantly being adopted by surgeons conducting orthopaedic surgical procedures in regions including the hand, wrist, and shoulder who are looking for ways to protect healing tissue without adding complexity to a given case.

While orthopaedic surgery is effective in restoring anatomy and repairing damaged structures, TYBR highlighted that surgical procedures are “only the start” of recovery for patients.

How tissue responds post-surgery informs patients’ mobility, pain, and how much function returns, yet surgeons have historically “had few tools to influence tissue healing after the surgery”, the company stated.

TYBR’s CEO, Tim Keane, explained: "Surgeons are exceptionally good at the structural repair, but the biology that follows is what determines how it heals. That part of the equation has gone largely unaddressed.

"We built TYBR Health around a simple principle: managing the healing environment should complement good surgical technique and contribute to better recovery for patients. This financing lets us reach more surgeons and generate the clinical evidence to move that shift forward."

TYBR’s B3 gel is part of the advanced wound dressing market. On a global basis, GlobalData analysis reveals that this market is growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.3% and is projected to reach a valuation of around $6.2bn in 2035, up from around $4bn in 2025.
