Two men were arrested July 22 after Milwaukee police say a mishandled firearm resulted in a teen being shot and injured, according to a news release from the Milwaukee Police Department.
Police say the shooting occurred around 3:25 p.m. on the 9000 block of North 85th Street. A 14-year-old was injured after one of the two men mishandled the firearm, causing it to fire and strike the teen.
Two men, a 21-year-old and a 23-year-old, were arrested after the incident.

Milwaukee police say the investigation remains ongoing, and criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
