Tuesday Reviews Day: Odyssey, 5 Star Wknd, Memento, Amateur & A Real Pain

Its time for Tuesday Reviews Day!  Every Tuesday the Bobby Bones Show team shares TV shows and movies they've watched and recommend that you check out.

  • Mike D went to the theaters to see "The Odyssey" and said he loved it! It did NOT feel like 3 hours! Went by so fast because it was so good! Loved that it was in plain English so you can understand what’s happening, and Matt Damon was GREAT! Movie Mike gives it 4.5/5 Trojan Horses.
  • Bobby watched 3 movies over the weekend while he was hanging out with the baby – pause when she wakes up, start when she falls asleep, pause again, start again – dad life!
  • Mike recommended “Memento” which is about a guy who can’t remember anything so he tattoos  clues all over his body so he can try to catch his wife’s killer. It’s a 20 year old movie, but Bobby thought it was really good and gives it 4/5 Tattoos.
  • Then he watched “A Real Pain” written by Jesse Eisenberg, and starring Kieran Culkin about going on a journey to Poland after their grandma passes away to learn about her life.  It has a lot of dialog and Bobby thought Eddie would probably hate it, but it turns out Eddie loved it! Bobby thought it was really good and gives it 4 Polands.
  • Bobby also watched “The Amateur” with Rami Malek. He plays a computer nerd guy who uses his computer skills to try to figure out who killed his wife. It is a “boom boom shoot ‘em up” kinda movie and Bobby thought it was a little too long (he thinks there should be a 90-minute limit on shoot em up movies) so Bobby gives it 3.5/5 Computer Screens
  • Amy watched "The 5 Star Weekend" with Jennifer Garner on Peacock – there are 8 episodes.  It takes a few episodes to get into it, but its worth it. This one is definitely for the girls though, and she thinks the boys won’t like it. Amy give it 4/5 Houses on Nantucket
  • Eddie watched "The Real Wolf of Wall Street" on Paramount + it’s a 3 part documentary about the real life guys in the Wolf of Wallstreet Movie. It was cool to see the backstory on the main guy and how he was a scammer since he was a kid! Its an easy watch and Eddie gives it 4/5 New York Accents.
  • Lunchbox tried to watch “Strange Darling” but kept getting hit to add more subscription services so he abandoned that one and watched “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” instead.  Did a family movie night, he found it kinda hard to watch but figures maybe kids will enjoy it…but not for him. He gives it 1.5 Bees.
