President Donald Trump offered the family of a servicemember killed in Iran a ride in Air Force One, he told attendees at an event held at Atlanta’s Wheeler High School Wednesday.

The president arrived in Atlanta after departing Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, “which is an incredible place,” he said, “but oftentimes very sad, because that’s when they bring the bodies of our great heroes, our great patriots, warriors.”

“They bring them back to Dover, and I’ve been there many times before,” Trump continued. “This was in particular something very sad. I attended the dignified transfer ceremony for four great U.S. Service members killed in the conflict with Iran. As they returned to American soil at Dover, one of the families happened to be traveling to Georgia, a beautiful family. A beautiful wife and husband and brother-in-law, and I said, ‘I’m going to Georgia too. Where are you going?’ They said, ‘Well, after this, sir’—they lost their beautiful son, and I said, ‘If you want, after this, I’ll give you a ride on Air Force One, ‘ and they said, ‘Wow.'”

The family joined Trump today. “So today, I then said, on Air Force One, and it’s quite nice, I must say. And they said, ‘Wow, this is something. Thank you so much.’ But they are heartbroken. They are heartbroken, and they live very close to here. They live minutes away.”

On Wednesday, Trump attended the dignified transfer of the remains of four servicemembers killed in Iran. The servicemembers have been identified as Angel S. Rampersad of New York, Michael Emmanuel Swinton of North Carolina, Tyler James Feehan of Hawai’i, and Isabella Gonzales of Texas.

“We’re going to Dover. Some of you are going with us. To honor our heroes, and they are indeed great heroes, actually. They said, and all of them said very strongly, we can’t let, we cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon,” the president told reporters today, per NBC News. “They won’t have a nuclear weapon. So we’re going to honor them. And it’s one of the hardest things to do, for me, it’s one of the hardest things to do as a president, but has to be done.”
