Fetty Wap, the rapper known for hits like "Trap Queen," is engaged.
On July 20, Fetty Wap's girlfriend Alexis shared photos and videos of their engagement to Instagram. The New Jersey-based rapper, born Willie Junior Maxwell II, proposed amid countless candles, red and pink roses, and a neon sign that read, "Will you marry me?"
"I said yes!" Alexis wrote in her post, which has garnered more than 18,200 likes as of July 21. The post shows photos of the couple kissing and of the diamond ring up close, as well as video of Fetty Wap down on one knee with an open ring box.

Also known for singles like "679" and "My Way," Maxwell was released from prison in January after three years for his accused involvement in a "multimillion-dollar bicoastal drug distribution organization." He was one of six defendants accused of using the U.S. Postal Service and vehicles with hidden compartments to transport narcotics from the West Coast, according to prosecutors.
U.S. attorneys said the group distributed more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine between June 2019 and June 2020 across Long Island and New Jersey.
Maxwell was arrested in October 2021, later released on a $500,000 bond after pleading not guilty to the criminal charges. However, the judge ordered him back into detention in August 2022, and weeks later he entered a guilty plea to conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
Nine months later, he was sentenced to six years in prison and five years of supervised release.
Maxwell continued to release music while incarcerated, most recently dropping his single, "Forever(71943509)" in May, followed by the track "Lil Sexy" with Doe Boy on June 13. He also came out with a full-length album, "King Zoo," in 2023.
In June, Maxwell partnered with Jimmy John's to release a 1738 Fetty W(r)ap Meal, which included the sandwich chain's new Buffalo Ranch Chicken Wrap, buffalo-flavored Jimmy Chips and fountain drink. The meal is still available to order, per the Jimmy John's website.
