Tornado warning issued for Dickson County TN

The National Weather Service has issued a number of alerts, including a tornado warning in Dickson County, as severe weather moves into Tennessee.

The tornado warning is in effect until 9:30 p.m.

Elsewhere, the weather service has issued a flash flood warning to areas including Hendersonville, Mount Juliet TN and Springfield. That's in effect until 11:45 p.m.

A larger swath of the state could be impacted.

"Storms continue to push deeper into Middle Tennessee," the weather service said. "Several severe thunderstorm and flash-flood warnings remain in effect for a large area of the mid state."
