LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Holland publicly referred to Zendaya as his "wife" for the first time during an appearance on the UK-based 'Dish' podcast, nearly five months after the couple's marriage was confirmed.

While promoting filmmaker Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey,' the actor also shared more glimpses into their relationship, even as both continue to keep details of their wedding and private life largely out of the spotlight.

Tom Holland calls Zendaya his wife and shares sweet moments from recent interviews

Holland referred to Zendaya as his wife while appearing in a preview for the July 22 episode of 'The Dish' podcast, when he was asked who he would take on a vacation to Greece. “I think probably my wife would be pretty good,” Holland said before joking about taking 'The Odyssey' costar Matt Damon instead.

He continued, “It would be a bit strange if I went, ‘Sorry babe, I’m gonna take Matt actually.’” Although the couple, whose romance was confirmed in 2021, have remained tight-lipped about their marriage, he has sprinkled lighthearted references to their relationship during recent promotional appearances.

During a joint interview with Damon, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson for Wired, Holland responded to a fan theory about Zendaya’s character Athena in 'The Odyssey.'

Asked whether Athena loved Odysseus romantically, he replied, “No, because she’s married to me.” Damon later joined the joke while answering another question about Holland’s Telemachus, saying he learned “True love” from her.

She also revealed that Holland had the script for 'The Odyssey' before she officially joined the project. “Tom had the script at home before I got the call,” she told E! News at the film’s New York premiere, adding, “So, I did a little peeky peek.”

Tom Holland and Zendaya remain private about their wedding and relationship

While Holland has now publicly called Zendaya his wife, both have continued to draw firm boundaries around their personal lives. He previously confirmed the couple had married during an interview with Esquire while discussing fake AI-generated wedding photos that circulated online showing the pair in Lake Como, Italy.

Holland recalled that his grandmother believed the images were real and thought she had not been invited to the ceremony. When asked whether he had to reassure other relatives, Holland replied, “No, because they were all there.” Pressed for more details about the wedding, he added, “That's all you'll get on that.”

Earlier this year, Zendaya joked about the wedding rumors while promoting 'The Drama' on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!.' After Kimmel mentioned online speculation that the couple had married, she responded, “Really? I haven't seen any of that!"

The comments followed stylist Law Roach's announcement in March that “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.” Despite keeping the ceremony private, Holland spoke openly about the importance of their relationship.

“Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he told Esquire adding, “We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don't understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.”
