Amid recent incidents involving Logan Paul, Tom Brady is reportedly in talks with WWE about potentially stepping into the professional wrestling ring.
On Monday, TMZ Sports reported there have been “ongoing conversations” between Brady and the company. The news arrived after several recent incidents involving Paul, currently part of WWE, and Brady at major events.
The two sports stars were both on stage together at last week’s Fanatics Fest NYC event and went face-to-face with New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns standing behind them. Brady proceeded to slap Paul in the face, seeming to surprise Towns, who later showed up to make his own WWE debut at the company’s “Saturday Night’s Main Event” in NYC.
Brady further captured attention in a viral video while attending Sunday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and Spain. The seven-time Super Bowl winner flipped off Paul, who was nearby in the stands. Paul returned the gesture, with someone saying, “Keep my guys apart here.”

Brady has never appeared in a WWE match before, but many other NFL players have, with former Indianapolis Colts kicker Pat McAfee among the most recent.
Brady’s former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate, Rob Gronkowski, also had several prominent roles. That included making a cameo at WrestleMania 33 in 2017 to help a wrestling friend, Mojo Rawley, win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Gronk returned as the official WrestleMania 36 host in 2020, during which he won the now-defunct WWE 24/7 Championship from R-Truth. He held the championship for 57 days, recognized as the third-longest reign in the belt’s history.
Nothing is confirmed, but Brady could do something at a big event in the coming months. While he’s retired from playing football, he’s been working as an analyst and commentator for Fox Sports’ NFL coverage.
Along with that, he is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, who begin their season in September. Ari Emanuel, CEO and Chair of TKO, the company that owns WWE, is also a minority owner of the Raiders.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Brady take on a brief pro wrestling role as a way of gaining some extra promotion and adding more money to his already massive net worth. Some have even speculated that he may be aiming for a match against Paul at WrestleMania 43, set for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, next year.
It marks the first WrestleMania to occur outside of the United States in the WWE’s history, so it might be a major draw for fans to see the NFL legend get into the ring. Since Brady is 48 and far removed from wrestling, he could also serve a ringside role with another wrestler facing Paul in the ring. Still, the recent slap seems too physical an act not to hint at something else.
Adding to the potential for WrestleMania 43, Brady was originally going to play this year’s massive Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Saudi Arabia. However, the location changed due to major events, and the game moved to California earlier this year. Logan Paul played for an opposing team and feuded with Brady in the build-up to the game and on the field.
