Riding the wave of its massive success, Barker has already revealed plans for an Obsession sequel and a television series. He spoke about the film's franchise potential during an appearance on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confusedpodcast, asserting that "there are so many stories to be told" involving the One Wish Willow. However, fans may have to wait a while, as he is prioritizing other projects first. He has lined up the supernatural horror-comedy titled Anything But Ghosts as his immediate next film, and he has also been tapped to direct the upcoming A24 reimagining of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, so for now, people will have to stick to rewatching Obsession, and, judging by its chart performance, they will happily oblige.
