Order of the Sinking Star, the puzzle adventure led by Braid and The Witness director Jonathan Blow, is coming to PlayStation 5 later this year. Publisher Arc Games and developer Thekla confirmed the news today in a PlayStation Blog post, which includes a new trailer showing more of the game’s interconnected puzzles. First revealed at The Game Awards 2025 for PC, the game added a Switch 2 version back in May, and all three platforms are set to launch later this year.
The new trailer digs into the game’s endgame, where characters and mechanics from its four worlds start colliding. Each world has its own story, characters, and method of solving puzzles, but travel far enough and you’ll find places where those worlds interact, combining into entirely new puzzle styles. Across the full game, there are more than 1,000 hand-crafted puzzles to work through, with a playable cast that includes a queen, a thief, a warrior, a wizard, and a talking boat. The story comes together piece by piece through gameplay and the notes you collect along the way.
For those who want an early taste, there’s a free demo on Steam right now, and any progress made in the demo carries over to the full game at launch. According to the announcement, it was among the most-played demos at Steam Next Fest this past June. You can explore at your own pace, revisiting worlds and returning to challenges whenever you see fit, which extends to Steam Deck support on PC.
A firm release date still hasn’t been shared for any platform, but Arc Games says the reveal is coming in the next few months. Order of the Sinking Star is available to wishlist now on PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and PC.
