The world’s largest private Bugatti collection has finally been unveiled, and it’s probably not where you thought it would be.
The collection features nearly every major Bugatti model ever made.
It isn’t in the US or the UAE, and it isn’t even in China.
It’s in Europe, but probably not the part of Europe you’d expect.

The world’s largest private Bugatti collection – worth around $90 million – consists of a combination of modern cars and classic icons.
It features the Tourbillon, the latest model, along with the record-breaking Chiron 300+, a trio of Veyrons, and the one-off Brouillard.
Speaking to the host of YouTube channel Edition One Off, the curator of the collection revealed that the Brouillard was actually made for them.
“So, actually Mr. Perridon and me, we developed the concept and then we asked Bugatti to make us a special one off for Mr. Perridon,” he said, which clearly they did.
Interestingly, there’s no mention of the Centodieci or the Mistral.
In addition to these modern rarities, the collection includes several classic legends, starting with the Type 30.
The Type 30 (Chassis #442) is one of the oldest Bugattis ever made, and then there’s the Type 35C, one of the most successful racing cars in history with over 500 victories to its name.
Then we also found an experimental vehicle loosely based on the Type 30, an experimental aerodynamic model called the Type 32 nicknamed ‘The Tank’, and another aerodynamic racer designed for Le Mans, the 57G.
Last but certainly not least, the collection also features a Type 55, the ‘holy grail’ of old models from the French manufacturer, and a Type 57 Atalanta Fastback formerly owned by Nicolas Cage.

Statistically, luxury cars in Europe can generally be found in Germany, the UK, Monaco, and Switzerland.
But there’s a small country that often goes unnoticed: the Netherlands.
Despite being one of the smallest nation states (not including microstates like the Vatican or Monaco) in Europe, the Netherlands is home to several high-profile collectors, including Mr. Perridon.
The Perridon Collection is generally recognized as the world’s largest private collection of Bugattis.
And you can tell the owner isn’t just buying cars based on the MSRP or the ‘glitter’ factor.
Mr. Perridon knows the history of the brand inside out, including the origin of the famous Bugatti Blue paint.
Apparently, it was inspired by Barbara Bugatti’s cigarettes.
Ettore Bugatti’s wife, Barbara, was an avid smoker of Gauloises cigarettes, a French brand.
Legend has it the distinctive hue of blue used by Gauloises for its cigarettes eventually inspired the French Racing Blue paintwork, which most people call Bugatti Blue.
