Hot Luck returns to Austin this October with acclaimed pitmasters, celebrated restaurants, live music, and tickets on sale now.
The ultimate barbecue festival is returning to Texas in October, welcoming a veritable who’s who of all-star chefs to Austin.
The Hot Luck festival, a People Inc. brand, will return to Austin from Oct. 16 to Oct. 17 with enough live-fire cooking, cold drinks, and live music to satisfy any BBQ lover. The celebrated lineup of chefs includes Aaron Bludorn of Houston’s Bludorn, Mason Hereford of beloved sandwich shop Turkey and the Wolf, Kevin Fink of Austin’s own Emmer & Rye, Calvin Eng of New York Cantonese hot spot Bonnie’s, and more.
Tickets for the festival are currently on sale on the website.
“The best part of Hot Luck has always been getting a bunch of incredibly talented people together and letting them cook, play music, and have a good time,” Aaron Franklin, the co-founder of Hot Luck, said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. “Every year takes on a life of its own, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everybody back to Austin this October.”
The festival will kick off with Giddy Up, Hot Luck’s signature live-fire spread at the iconic Franklin Barbecue, complete with a “stroll-and-sample feast.” Then on Saturday, the fun will move to Assembly Hall for the House Party, the largest culinary event featuring dozens of dishes and live music.
Three ticket options are available. The Family Pack costs $700 and includes House Party admission for two adults and two children ages 20 and younger. The Youngster Pass costs $100 for guests ages 13 to 20 and includes House Party admission. The Whole Enchilada Pass costs $349 and includes admission to Giddy Up, early entry to House Party, complimentary admission to the Mohawk music showcase, and access to participating music venues throughout the weekend.
Performers for the Mohawk music showcase will be announced at a later date along with single-show tickets and additional programming. Additional chefs will also be announced in the coming months.
The event, put on in partnership with the Southern Smoke Foundation, will take place just ahead of November’s Food & Wine Classic in Charleston, South Carolina. That popular event features more than 60 chefs and mixologists offering up bites, demonstrations, and seminars. Celebrity chefs and notable food experts include Food Network favorite Tyler Florence and Andrew Zimmern.
It also follows the 2026 Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado, which brought together an elite group of global culinary talent for three days in June.
