The Lamborghini Huracán is too shy, said no one ever. No one, that is, except for the people at Rezvani, a California-based constructor specializing in creating cars that blend high performance with the design ethos of the Warthog military vehicle from Halo. Enter Rezvani's newly revealed Dune, which aims to offer sand-shredding power with a supercharged V-10 and bodywork that makes the 911 Dakar look like a Volkswagen Beetle.
Now, some of you may already be thinking, "Wait, didn't Lamborghini build an off-road Huracán already?" That'd be the Sterrato you're thinking of, and when it exited the scene in 2024, we dubbed it the best Huracán of them all. It was fast, looked great, and you could take it off-road and do roostertails in the dirt. Throw in a roof rack for luggage, and it was arguably even practical—sort of.
The problem is, of course, that the Sterrato was the last hurrah for the Huracán, and Lamborghini isn't about to build an off-road version of the Temerario any time soon. Not when it's selling boatloads of the Urus every year.
Thus, there's a tiny gap in the market for people who want an ultra-brash, ultra-capable, ultra-in-your-face expression of Italian supercar. The Dune features a 4.5-inch lift versus the standard Huracán, and it contributes to a six-inch-higher overall height thanks to chunky off-road tires. This is nearly three times higher than the Sterrato's raised height, and the Dune's off-road-ready suspension looks suitably brawny, with a total of 11 inches of ground clearance.
The engine also gets a literal boost, thanks to a supercharger developed in cooperation with forced-induction specialists VF Engineering. Displacement is 5.2 liters, horsepower is a claimed 800. That's a quarter more than the Sterrato, if you're counting.
Throw in underbody armor, long-travel dampers, auxiliary lighting, and, somewhat ludicrously, a roof-mounted snorkel, and you've got one ready-to-rock Huracán. The carbon-fiber bodywork isn't likely to shrug off the impact of hitting a boulder while out on the trails, but for jumping over sand dunes, the Rezvani Dune certainly looks well-named.
Production will be seriously limited with just seven examples slated to be built. Rezvani isn't saying yet what the cost will be, but expect the price tag to be as over the top as the car is
