TAMPA, Fla. – A section of Anderson Road is temporarily closing starting Tuesday morning while city crews work on the local water system.
The northbound lane of Anderson Road shut down at 9 a.m. between West Knox Street and West Knollwood Street. According to city officials, the closure is necessary for the Tampa Water Department to conduct maintenance on the water distribution system.
Traffic in the area will be redirected using barricades and flaggers to help drivers navigate around the work zone. Drivers passing through the stretch of road are advised to slow down and use extra caution, as modifications to the traffic pattern may be necessary while work is underway.
The maintenance project is scheduled to run through Thursday, July 23. Officials expect the lane to reopen and normal traffic patterns to resume by 4 p.m. that afternoon, depending on weather conditions.
