Prince George is officially a teenager!
The young royal, who is the eldest child of Prince William and Kate, looked so tall in the official portrait released by Kensington Palace for his 13th birthday on Wednesday.
George was seen smiling in a picture taken by the family's trusted photographer, Matt Porteous, standing on the stairs at Kensington Palace just after Trooping The Colour last month. Matt also recently photographed Prince Louis for his eighth birthday, Princess Charlotte turning 11, and took a stunning picture of the whole family for William and Kate's wedding anniversary in May.
George was the spitting image of his father, Prince William, wearing a smart navy suit and white shirt, without the blue tie he was seen in at Trooping. It made for a more casual image of the young Prince, who will soon be heading to secondary school.
"Happy 13th Birthday, George!🎉," read the message alongside the photo, adding a party popper emoji.
Prince William and Kate also shared a video of George wearing his iconic Wimbledon sunglasses, playing cricket, going on a boat ride and rock climbing barefoot with his younger brother Louis. He was also seen stroking the family's dog Otto, a one-year-old brown cocker spaniel.
It was filmed during the family's Easter holiday in Cornwall earlier this year and was accompanied by a message on social media reading: "Thank you for all the birthday wishes for George today!"
The Prince is currently on his summer holidays after finishing his studies at Lambrook School in Berkshire, before he heads to Eton College in September.
As all-boys Eton is boarding only, he's in line for a big change and will officially move out of the family home, Forest Lodge in Windsor, during term time.
"How on Earth is he already 13?" one person commented on the new photo, while another asked: "Where did the time go? You're growing up right before our eyes."
Prince George is growing up so fast
Prince George turning 13 means that William and Kate have their first teenager in the family. His younger sister, Princess Charlotte, is 11, while Prince Louis is eight.
The future King, Prince George Alexander Louis, was born in the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London, at 4.24pm on 22 July 2013, weighing 8lb 6oz.
He made his debut in front of the world's media on the hospital steps one day later, wrapped in a white merino wool shawl, cradled in his mother's arms.
George spent the first few months of his life in Anglesey, Wales, where William was stationed at the RAF base, before the family moved into Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace.
He attended West Acre Montessori School Nursery from 2016, before moving to Thomas's Battersea School until 2022, when the Wales family moved to Windsor.
Last year's photo saw George leaning over a gate in Norfolk wearing a blue checkered shirt and gilet as he turned 12.
Over the past year, George has clearly had a growth spurt and has towered over his mother at public events such as the Easter service in Windsor, Trooping the Colour, and Wimbledon.

It's just a few short weeks until Prince George flies the nest – so William and Kate will be making the most of every moment with all three children at home.
They are enjoying a summer of fun, relaxation, and making memories, as shown during their trip to watch the Wimbledon final earlier this month.
