At first glance, you'd think someone had carefully drawn a tiny mustache on the kitten's face. They hadn't. The little stray naturally wears one of the most memorable markings you'll ever see, giving him an uncanny resemblance to Charlie Chaplin.
When one family spotted him beside a roadside dump during their road trip, they couldn't let him go. Instead of driving past, they stopped. That decision changed the kitten's life.

A Cat With a Bright Future Ahead
Sometimes the best journeys are the ones that begin with pulling over to help a kitten. The marking on the cat sits directly under his nose, perfectly shaped, perfectly centered, exactly like Charlie Chaplin's.
When the family posted his photo to Reddit's r/aww after the rescue, the comments came fast. One person wrote, "If he wants to become an artist, you better support him." Another added, "For everyone's sake, let him into art school."
Then the jokes piled up, with one saying, "Better bribe whatever art school he applies to."
This mustache cat definitely looks like Chaplin, and not another famous person with mustaches.

The Dashboard Co-Pilot
The photos on Reddit tell the rest of his story. In the second photo, he is curled up on a blanket on the passenger's seat. But in the first photo, he is stretched out full-length across the car's dashboard. He looks like a cat that has always been exactly where he was supposed to be.
In the Reddit post, the family explained that the kitten was found near a garbage site in Croatia, a country in the Balkans region of Europe, where unwanted kittens are usually left behind. Still, they wanted to be certain that they weren't taking someone's pet, so they cleaned him up, brought him to a vet, checked for a microchip and had him vaccinated.
After being unable to locate an owner, the family decided to bring him home with them to Sweden. The kitten traveled with them as they continued their journey, safely and calmly sitting near his new family. Now, he lives safely in his forever home.
It's hard to imagine a better souvenir from a road trip.
