Darth Revan is one of the coolest characters in the Star Wars canon, but fans can't decide who they want to play him.

If there is one area where Star Wars has really excelled over the years, it's in giving us a bunch of different and exciting villains for the good guys to face off again. Vader and Palpatine are obviously the most notable examples, but there's a whole pantheon of very powerful figures who all have a legitimate claim to being just as interesting as the two above.

Your own favorite will likely depend on which adaptations you have played or watched over the years, but for many, Darth Revan is often seen as one of the best. Debuting into the lore as part of Knights of the Old Republic, he's a figure that has been criminally underutilized since. That said, if he were to return, fans really can't decide who they want to bring him to life.

Over on Facebook, Star Wars News Source shared a post showing off the new Sideshow Collectibles statue of Darth Revan. The statue bears a remarkable resemblance to Keanu Reeves, and that quickly saw the comments turn to whether he could play the character in a live-action adaptation.

As you might expect, it was a divisive conversation, with plenty of opinions on both sides. "Keanu as Revan would be amazing, but you have to remember that Disney are going to be involved in making that movie, and they have not had a good history with Star Wars," one comment read.

While another added, "Reeves should play Revan in an Old Republic movie trilogy if Lucasfilm/Disney had ANY brains. Mark Strong as Darth Malek. I’d fix Star Wars in 20 minutes."

"The face model they use for Revan in Star Wars: The Old Republic looks more like Keanu Reeves than this face, which is probably where the Keanu buzz came from in the first place," a third said.

Others were much less sure, with one saying, "The whole Keanu Reeves playing Revan needs to go away! I love the man as a human being and love many of his movies, but there are more reasons why he’s not right for the role. Even more so now."

With several projects on the way that are rooted in Star Wars' Old Republic era, it is unlikely that we have seen the last of Revan moving forward. It's a good thing too, as the character could certainly do with some more screen time after all these years, however that may come about.
