The final Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer has evoked nostalgia among Marvel fans. It has welcomed deep emotional reactions compared to the recent promo for Avengers: Doomsday. The upcoming Marvel Studios blockbuster sees Tom Holland reprise his iconic role as Peter Parker, a character he debuted in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.

What are MCU fans saying about the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer?

Marvel and Sony have dropped the final Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer featuring Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, among others.

The trailer shows some new scenes alongside moments from the previous Spider-Man installments in the MCU, namely Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home. They evoke a nostalgic feeling while also making longtime fans revisit events from previous movies and connect dots to Brand New Day’s plot.

Following the reveal, fans quickly flooded social media, with some claiming that the Spider-Man preview generated significantly more genuine excitement than the Avengers: Doomsday teaser. They also noted that the Avengers footage lacked a similar retrospective build-up from prior Phase Four and Phase Five projects.

One ardent fan, named @brndxix, wrote, “Does Marvel have a different company doing the Spider-Man trailers? These are so much better than the Doomsday one.”

Another fan, @SaiyanShoto, echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “It's crazy how that latest Spider-Man trailer is so much better than the Doomsday one.”

Other fans were simply mesmerized by how long it’s been for them following Spider-Man’s MCU journey.

An emotional user, named @I_Am_Orion, wrote, “This trailer definitely sets into perspective just how long it has been since we started watching Tom as Spider-Man, and someone at my age feels it the most because I was in high school when he started akin to his character when he was first introduced.”

One more fan, @captaincupkick, expressed their feelings of nostalgia, saying, “This really puts into perspective how far we've come; growing up alongside Spider-Man has been the coolest thing ever.”

Beyond its core returning cast, Spider-Man: Brand New Day also features other renowned actors, including Mark Ruffalo and Jon Bernthal. They will reprise their iconic roles of Bruce Banner/Hulk and Frank Castle/The Punisher, respectively.

Former Stranger Things star Sadie Sink will also appear in the movie to make her MCU debut. However, her character specifics are still under wraps. Michael Mando, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Marvin ‘Krondon' Jones III will also play crucial roles.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
