Texas A&M's 2025 offensive line protected quarterback Marcel Reed throughout his first full starting season, possessing elite size and NFL potential at all five positions, especially left tackle Trey Zuhn III, who allowed just one sack and earned the highest pass protection grade in Pro Football Focus history.
Combined with left guard Chase Bisontis, right guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams, and right tackle Dametrious Crownover, all four starters were among the record 10 players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, leaving third-year coach Mike Elko and OL coach Adam Cushing desperate to add veteran starting talent from the transfer portal.
Given the Aggies' NIL advantage and Cushing's development background, Texas A&M landed four offensive line commitments from the SEC, including former South Carolina starting right guard Trovon Baugh, who brings 600-plus snaps in the SEC and is highly regarded as one of the top run blockers and is one of the largest players on the roster at 6'4" and 335 pounds.
During the second day of SEC Media Days on Tuesday afternoon, South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers spoke highly of his former teammate, noting Baugh's relentless physicality and unbridled passion between the hashes that should result in the Aggie rushing attack taking the next step, and consistently opening holes for running backs Rueben Owens and Jamarion Morrow.
“A dominant player. Super smart, super competitive," Sellers stated. "They’re getting a player who cares a lot. He’ll put everything on the line for Marcel (Reed)."
Offensive linemen get little love from the national media, outside of attending SEC Media Days, but quickly become the most important unit on the roster when the game is on the line. Combined with several up-and-coming players from the 2025 signing class, Mike Elko stated on Monday that Texas A&M's 2026 offensive line is "much deeper" than last year's unit.
