After announcing her engagement to David DiLeo in July of 2025, Iowa women's basketball legend Megan Gustafson and DiLeo officially tied the knot just outside the Iowa City area this past weekend.
Per People, the couple got married on Saturday, July 18, at Bella Sala in Tiffin, Iowa. Gustafson and DiLeo shared their first dance to “Miracle” by Riley Clemmons. The two newlyweds were joined by friends and family from all over, including the entire staff of the Iowa women’s basketball team and head coach Jan Jensen.
Gustafson's agent, Ticha Penicheiro, and Gustafson's Instagram-famous corgi, Pancake, were both in attendance as well. Former Iowa women's basketball coach Lisa Bluder served as the wedding officiant.
DiLeo is currently readying for his upcoming season overseas in Turkey. Meanwhile, Gustafson is enjoying the best season in her WNBA career with the Portland Fire, averaging 12.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game on 54.5% shooting and 40.0% from 3-point land in 24 games played.
“We are most excited about just doing life with each other. Normal, everyday things as a couple, building a family and loving each other through every step of the way...
“As athletes, we travel and have been long-distance quite a bit. And so we are looking forward to being with each other in person much more in our future, supporting one another through the rest of our careers and beyond," the couple told People.
Gustafson's marriage is one of a handful of recent milestone moments from star Hawkeyes. Former Iowa basketball and current Memphis Grizzlies forward Kris Murray got married on July 2, former Iowa football and current Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell and his wife recently welcomed their first child on July 3 and former Iowa football offensive lineman Beau Stephens tied the knot on July 4.
