Solo Leveling's New Release Officially Sets Up Jinwoo's Strongest Form

Jinwoo's strongest form has yet to be revealed, and the next Solo Leveling project will finally showcase it in its full glory.

Chugong's Solo Leveling is an absolutely sensational anime series where Sung Jinwoo, the protagonist of the series, has always stood as the main highlight that fans tune in every week to watch in action. At the beginning of the story, Jinwoo inherited the powers of the System, turning him into the new Shadow Monarch and handing him powerful abilities, including his Shadow Army. Using these powers, Jinwoo fought adamantly in the first timeline of Solo Leveling, and he even went on to unlock his Astralization transformation at the end of the story. However, even after his first battle against Antares ended, Jinwoo wasn't at his peak just yet.

Jinwoo’s official peak is now set to be explored in the new release, Solo Leveling Karma, which is set to cover the events of the 27-Year Monarch War. It is during this war that Jinwoo truly reaches his peak and surpasses all previous limitations, ending the greatest war single-handedly and finally being able to take on Antares on his own with his upgraded Astralization transformation.

Solo Leveling Karma Will Take Jinwoo Back In Time Through The Cup of Reincarnation

Solo Leveling, a Story by Chugong, follows the rise of Sung Jinwoo, a young boy who started as the weakest Hunter of South Korea but ended up as the most powerful being in the whole world. In the Solo Leveling manhwa, Jinwoo went on to defeat Antares in Chapter 176 after an arduous journey that saw him grow from a weak Hunter who was almost killed in the Double Dungeon to a powerful Monarch with the powers to raise the dead and add them to his Army. However, Jinwoo was not quite satisfied at that point in the story due to the tragedies that unfolded along his journey. After his victory against Antares, Jinwoo made one final request of the Rulers and asked them to use the Cup of Reincarnation to turn back time just one last time. The Rulers agreed, and this thrust Jinwoo back into his teenage self and allowed him to take on this journey once more, making different decisions with the prior advantage of knowledge of what happened.

In the manhwa, this part of the story was glossed over and generally covered in only two chapters, those being Chapter 178 and 179. Because of that, we don't know what exactly happened during the 27-Year Monarch War, but we know that ultimately Jinwoo came out victorious once more. Now, Solo Leveling is getting a new official project that will unveil all the secrets behind this long war that put Jinwoo into solitude for 27 whole years as he attempts to defeat all the Monarchs single-handedly. This new project is Solo Leveling Karma, a video game by Netmarble Studio, which is being planned for a 2026 release. This game will explore the nooks and crannies of this 27-Year Monarch War, and it will allow us to take control of Jinwoo and undergo this war with him.

Why Jinwoo's New Run Against Monarchs Makes Him Even Stronger

At the end of the original Solo Leveling timeline, Jinwoo was, undoubtedly, extremely strong, and one could say that he ultimately became the strongest character around. After all, he took on and defeated the oldest and strongest Monarch of all, that is, the Monarch of Destruction. Jinwoo and Antares' fight spanned over Solo Leveling chapters 173 and 176. While Jinwoo ultimately took him down, he did not do it alone. He required the help of the Rulers to finally defeat Antares, which ultimately means that Antares technically could still be considered the strongest character in the original timeline.

However, Solo Leveling Karma changes all of that. In this new storyline, Jinwoo returns to the past and is isolated in the dimensional crack for 27 years, and we know for a fact that he got far stronger in this new timeline. Jinwoo's battles during the 27-Year Monarch War were a lot more difficult. He had to fight everyone on his own and could not use the help of the other S-Rank or National Level Hunters in any way. At one point in the previous timeline, for example, he had help from his father, Sung Il-Hwan, but this time around, he does it all alone.

At the end of the new Solo Leveling timeline in the manhwa, it is confirmed that Jinwoo defeats Antares on his own, something that he failed to do in the original timeline. Karma will showcase just that and reveal to us that Jinwoo has grown tremendously in strength and reached a new level of power that makes him unparalleled in his verse, even to the Monarchs and Rulers. The Rulers fear Jinwoo in the new timeline after the end of the war, but they can’t do anything to stop him.

Solo Leveling Karma will also see Jinwoo upgrade in other ways. His fighting over 27 years means that he will collect a far bigger Shadow Army through the story. At the end of Solo Leveling Karma, when Jinwoo faces Antares, his army should be larger than the one in the original timeline. This is despite Jinwoo losing two of his shadows due to the time rewind, those being Greed and Iron, the former Shadows of Hwang Dongsoo and Kim Chul, as their existence collides with the new events that Jinwoo stirred.

Sung Jinwoo's Final Transformation In Karma Is His Strongest Form Ever

In the new 2026 release of Solo Leveling Karma, Jinwoo is getting powered up thanks to the new timeline, where he is set to fight alone for 27 years. We can also expect to see his transformations become stronger than ever before. In the original timeline, Sung Jinwoo unlocked his Astralization form against Antares. In a way, this form is his version of Spiritual Body Manifestation that sees him coat himself in Shadows, creating a purple and black armor and towering over his enemies. With this on, he takes on a form reminiscent of Ashborn, the former Shadow Monarch.

Astralization is Jinwoo's Ultimate Transformation, and in Solo Leveling Karma, we will see it reach new heights. With Jinwoo's upgraded experience, larger shadow army, and more importantly, prior knowledge surrounding the System, Astralization will be even stronger in his hands. Undoubtedly, this transformation is what will finally win him the ultimate battle against Antares in the new timeline. The best part of it all is that the new storyline of Solo Leveling Karma is officially canon, and this means Chugong himself has a hand in it. In other words, Jinwoo's upcoming form being his strongest is also true for the novel and the manhwa.

We can't wait for Solo Leveling Karma to be released, but for now, we don't have an exact release date. All we know is that it is coming in 2026. We also know that Antares is the main villain with all his memories intact, and that he will unleash a horde of corrupted versions of Jinwoo's friends and family to fight him, which is sure to line up exciting battles for all of us fans to play through when the game officially drops.

Solo Leveling Karma is set for a release in 2026 on PC, iOS, and Android. Meanwhile, the Solo Leveling anime series has 25 episodes out, all available to stream on Crunchyroll.
