That update changes the timeline rather than the reported direction. Sheamus has not agreed to a new contract, but his departure has also not been completed. The precise reason his existing deal continues through October remains unclear, meaning the suggested explanation involving a 90-day period should not be treated as established fact.
The distinction matters because Sheamus is not yet a free agent. The report confirms when his current agreement is scheduled to end, but it does not establish whether WWE will use him again before that date or what he intends to do afterward. The contractual deadline is firm. Everything beyond it remains unresolved.
Holliday is on WWE’s radar, not officially on its roster
Holliday’s situation contains the opposite uncertainty. Fightful Select reported that WWE has interest in him and that he could be signed soon, if an agreement has not already been reached. No completed deal has been publicly confirmed.
His activity on social media has encouraged speculation. Holliday has interacted with Ben Bishop and Matt Cardona and posted a video involving Zilla Fatu. Those posts may attract attention, but they do not independently prove that WWE has signed him.
Holliday’s absence from recent TNA tapings in Boston also raised questions, according to the report. Once again, that is relevant circumstantial information rather than confirmation of his destination.
The current NWA Exodus Pro Midwest Champion brings an established independent résumé. He was trained by Paul Roma and became particularly associated with MLW, where he teamed with MJF and competed against the Hart Foundation.
