Just because an item is designed for a specific use, that doesn't mean that's all it's good for. Installing a curtain rod to hang purses? Brilliant. Using a butter dish to hide remotes? So cute and functional.

So when I discovered that you can use a magnetic dryer sheet organizer for non-laundry uses all over the home, I knew I needed to give this hack a try immediately.

Why Everyone Needs a Dryer Sheet Holder in Their Kitchen

In a video from creator Emma Villaneda (@thecraftedstudioco), she shows how a simple magnetic dryer sheet holder from Dollar Tree can be used beyond the laundry room. Turns out, it makes the perfect kitchen organizer. In the kitchen, the organizer's open design perfectly fits the handles of tumblers, which can be tricky to store inside of a cabinet. Because it's clear and can stick to most fridges, ovens, and dishwashers, it's great for storing anything you need accessible in the kitchen, like mail, remote controls, keys, bottle openers, or even jarred spices. My favorite use has to be as a trash bag dispenser on a trash bin - no more struggling to find the end of the roll, because it's ready for you to grab it.

Why This Hack Is So Brilliant

Dollar Tree's magnetic dryer sheet holder is just $1.25, and it's made of clear plastic with a magnetic strip on the back so you can attach it to most metal surfaces or appliances. It measures 4.15 inches wide, 6 inches tall, and 4.8 inches long and has a U-shaped opening with an open top to make accessing dryer sheets easier. But it's also great for storing anything you need accessible in the kitchen, like mail, remote controls, keys, bottle openers, or even jarred spices.

Even though I'd never heard of a dryer sheet holder before learning about this hack, I can't wait to put a few to good use in my kitchen to make my storage just a little bit smarter.
