Sharon and Kelly Osbourne are remembering Ozzy Osbourne in their own ways on the first anniversary of his death.

The former Black Sabbath frontman passed away on July 22, 2025, at 76 years old after battling Parkinson’s disease for many years.

On Wednesday, July 22 of this year, Sharon, 73, spoke to BBC Radio WM, saying she wanted people to “remember how funny he was – funny and charismatic and real,” per the BBC.

“He was authentic,” the Osbournes alum added. “He never tried to be anything other than what he was, and he would tell you the truth about everything and that was him, you knew where you were with him.”

As for how people can best remember the heavy metal legend, Sharon remarked, “As Ozzy would say, ‘when you want to remember me, just yank up the music really loud, as loud as you can get it, and just head bang.'”

Meanwhile, Kelly, 41, shared an emotional message on Instagram on Wednesday, titled: “What I’ve come to know about grief in the last year!”

“I don’t just mourn the father I lost. I mourn the soul I was before death taught my heart its own name,” she began her post. “There is a grief that steals more than the person you love. It quietly takes the light from your laughter, the innocence from your hope, and the stranger you become is someone you’ll spend a lifetime trying to recognize.”

“You only understand its endless ache when you stood in the unbearable silence, carrying a love that has nowhere left to go,” Kelly continued. “I miss who I was before my daddy died. Before my heart became a home for absence. Before every memory became both a blessing and a wound.”

“Some losses simply don’t break you,” she continued. “They divide your life into two people. The one you were before, and the one you left behind.”

In an additional post on Instagram, the former Fashion Police host included a black-and-white photo of Ozzy and a lengthy letter to her father, in which she noted, “I have never loved anyone or anything as deeply as uniquely, as I love you.”

Kelly also added she sees “glimpses” of Ozzy in her son Sidney, 3, whom she shares with her reported ex-fiancé Sid Wilson.
