Sharna Burgess and Brian Austin Green have welcomed a new little one to their family. And no, it's not what you think. The couple announced that Birdie Blue—a bernedoodle—has officially become a Burgess-Green.
"We looked and waited a long time for the right fur baby to come into our tribe," Burgess wrote on Instagram on July 21. "After losing Sasha almost 2 years ago our goal was to of course rescue like we have many times before but unfortunately we couldn’t find who we needed."
She went on to say that getting a puppy was the "best choice" for their family, even though it's more work. Moreover, they wanted a big dog that was hypoallergenic.
"Birdie Blue is perfect, she came from an incredible family and has fit in beautifully. She will hopefully make it to 85lbs and everyone is in love with her," Burgess' post continued.
The comments section of the post quickly filled up with messages from fans who wanted to know more about the pup, while others congratulated the family on their new addition. Some people scolded Burgess and Green for shopping and not adopting, but others defended their decision. Overall, people seem happy for the newest Burgess-Green fur-baby.
"Pure sweetness. We have a medium sized poodle and we got him as a puppy as well. My husband is severely allergic to dogs and pretty much everything else so we had to get a hypoallergenic dog too. Don’t ever feel the need to defend your choice," one fan wrote.
"Our Bernedoodle will be 1 yr old next week. She is the best decision I have made in a long time. Wishing you so many great years filled with tons of adventure! She is beautiful. Its hard for the 1st few months but all work it," someone else said.
Burgess and Green have a full house. They have three dogs and four kids (their son, Zane, and Green's three kids from his marriage to Megan Fox).
