A search is underway in South Carolina for a teenager who might be in danger.

Breonna Dubberly was publicly reported missing at about noon Wednesday by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The 19-year-old disappeared overnight, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.

Dubberly was last seen at about 11 p.m. Tuesday at her home in the 300 block of Whitehurst Way, according to the release. That’s in Columbia, near the intersection of Clemson Road and Longtown Road.

The sheriff’s department said that Dubberly is a vulnerable adult, and she might have difficulty understanding her surroundings. Information about why she’s considered vulnerable was not available, but she is believed to be in danger, the sheriff’s department said.

It’s possible that Dubberly could easily become lost, and she’s unfamiliar with the Columbia area, according to the release. It’s also possible she could be heading toward the Summerville area in the Lowcountry, the sheriff’s department said.

There was no word if Dubberly was alone when she was last seen, and the sheriff’s department did not say if foul play is suspected in her disappearance.

The sheriff’s department described Dubberly as a 5-foot-6, 195-pound woman with curly brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing pajamas, according to the release.
