Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Cubs fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The MLB Trade Deadline (and yes they now want it to be Capitalized) comes up in just 13 days, Monday, Aug. 3.
The Cubs will make a deal, or more than one. How do I know this? Well, I don’t. I don’t have any inside info so I’m guessing like the rest of you are, but the Cubs have clear needs to add starting pitching and probably relief pitching as well, especially with the uncertain status of Trent Thornton, who took a ball off his ankle Monday night.
This article isn’t intended to promote any specific trade or trades, though you can certainly discuss your ideas in the comments.
What I’d like to know in this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey is which of six top Cubs prospects would you not give up in any deadline deal?
The Cubs might wind up trading major league players too, including Matt Shaw, who’s been involved in multiple rumors. But here, I want to know, as the survey says, which prospect is untouchable. (I know who I’m voting for, but I won’t post that here because I don’t want to influence your vote.)
Vote in the survey and we’ll have the final results here later in the week.
