It’s been five months since the TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie’s 84 year-old mother Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped from her home in Tucson, Arizona. Sadly, no trace of Nancy has been found, and she remains missing at this time.
Now, Savannah has announced that she is taking a leave of absence from the TODAY show “for a few weeks.” This comes as the search for Nancy continues.
Savannah Takes Leave Of Absence From TODAY
Savannah, 54, revealed on Thursday that she is leaving the TODAY show “for a few weeks” so that she can go film her new game show Wordle.
“I’m headed over to shoot Wordle over the next few weeks,” Savannah told her TODAY co-hosts.
“We’re going to shoot the whole season, and we’re super excited,” she added. “Cannot wait for everyone to see it.”
