“The enemy advanced near Zaliznychne,” DeepState said.
The 225th Separate Assault Regiment reported capturing 64 Russian troops on July 20. The soldiers had been ordered to infiltrate behind Ukrainian positions in Zaporizhzhya Oblast without being detected.
The regiment cleared infiltrating Russian groups from areas near Ternuvate, Kosivtseve, Rizdvianka, Verkhnia Tersa and Vozdvyzhivka.
“They were supposed to infiltrate behind Ukrainian positions unnoticed. They were not to engage in combat,” the regiment said. “Their mission was to locate drone crews, gather intelligence and plant Russian flags for yet another propaganda video about ‘captured’ villages.”
“Instead, they were taken prisoner. The result of the operation was 64 Russian prisoners of war,” the regiment added.
