The future of law enforcement is officially arriving in peak-TV format, The Hollywood Reporter reveals.
First put into development three years ago following Amazon’s blockbuster acquisition of MGM’s legendary content library, the long-gestating project has finally received a formal greenlight. The new series will consist of eight episodes and is set to stream exclusively on Prime Video worldwide.
Leading the charge is writer, producer, and showrunner Peter Ocko (Lodge 49, Pushing Daisies), alongside an powerhouse executive production squad that includes horror legend James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett for Blumhouse Atomic Monster, as well as Ed Neumeier, the co-creator and co-writer of Paul Verhoeven’s original 1987 film.

According to the official series order description from the studio, the new series promises to stay deeply rooted in the core themes that made the 1987 original a pop-culture juggernaut:
