Some dogs wag their tails when they see a treat. Rolo has his own signature move. The moment he sees a treat coming, his front paws start going, quick and happy little stomps, like he physically cannot contain himself.
What makes those stomps even cuter is where Rolo's story began. The sweet boy was found abandoned by a dumpster.

He came to Pasco County Animal Services in Land O' Lakes, Fla., with no family or future prospects lined up. Just big soulful eyes and a whole lot of love to give.
He is waiting for a family that will give him everything he deserves. While his past began in a lonely place, his small, eager dance is proof that this hopeful, gentle, and excited-by-life pittie deserves a second chance.
A Boy Who Deserves Better Than a Dumpster
Pit bulls like Rolo are among the most misunderstood dogs in shelters. They tend to stay longer, even when they're gentle, social, and full of personality. Rolo checks all those boxes. He's affectionate, responsive, and food-motivated in the most endearing way possible.
One fan commented on Rolo's video on social media, saying, "What a lovable pup with the cutest stomps!" Another commenter wrote, "What a sweet handsome boy. You'll find your home soon."
And then one fan couldn't believe Rolo is still in the shelter, saying, "He's got the cutest look... will you help me and love me. Oh gosh how is he not adopted yet? What an adorable squish he is.”
We can already imagine Rolo's new dad or mom reaching into their pocket for a treat, and before they even pull it out, Rolo shifts from paw to paw, locking his eyes on the prize, trying with every ounce of self-control to stay patient.
Those little stomps and happy feet have become his trademark, and he has already captured hearts online. Now he needs to capture a family's heart and go to his forever home.
The Photos That Changed Everything
Rolo is getting a little help from Second Shot Adoption Photos, a professional photography initiative that brings skilled photographers into shelters to capture dogs and show their true personality. The mission is simple: better photos mean more adoption inquiries.
Rolo's photos show exactly who he is. The images capture that look he gives you, part hopeful and part "please, I've been waiting."
