Chelsea have been relatively active in the summer transfer window so far but there is still some unresolved deals floating around. Latest Reports

According to Max from Striver Football, there is a lot going on with the team. One note was that Alex Scott indicated a desire to move which caused the Blues to make a bid for the midfielder. In addition, while speaking about the deal for left-back Pep Chavarria it was noted that he and others may soon be advised to push for moves away from their clubs.

According to the report, this could be key to “unlocking negotiations” which are currently stuck, as player pressure could force other teams to accept the terms outlined or to get closer to a value Chelsea deem worthwhile.

Player Pressure Helping The Blues

While some deals can be done early in the window, others can be stuck over a valuation or teams changing their terms late on in a negotiation. This report from Max indicates that Chelsea are hoping to unstick some of those situations by using internal pressure from the players themselves to force their club’s hands. This could allow for more favourable terms in the Premier League side’s favour or for talks to restart over some exits.

The main deal mentioned is for Rayo Vallecano’s Chavarria, this is a move that was first spoken about widely many weeks ago when Marco Palestra was signed but has since gone quiet. Difficulties in getting the deal over the line could have forced the Blues to ask for help from the player and his representatives to try and force a move.
