Remember the Jeep Wrangler Laredo? It's back for 2027, with bronze wheels and brown leather

Jeep is continuing its seemingly endless stream of special-edition Wranglers by reviving one of its best-known badges. The 2027 Wrangler Laredo resurrects a name that first appeared during the CJ era before carrying over to the original Wrangler, but this time, it arrives as a heritage-inspired package built on the Wrangler Willys. The result is a model that leans heavily into nostalgia, while also adding a handful of unique styling touches.

The automaker first showed the Wrangler Laredo as a concept during this year's Easter Jeep Safari—and unlike many show vehicles, the production version stays remarkably close to what enthusiasts saw on the trails in Moab. Visually speaking, the Laredo separates itself from other Wranglers with a collection of retro-inspired details.

The most obvious is the return of the tan soft top, paired with a Gobi-colored grille, bronze beadlock-capable wheels, bronze tow hooks, and matching "Jeep" and "Trail Rated" badges. Heritage-inspired hood and bodyside graphics further reinforce the 1980s theme, while a lasso-style "4WD" decal appears on the rear.

Despite the nostalgic appearance, the hardware is as modern as a Wrangler gets. Every Wrangler Laredo comes standard with Jeep's Xtreme 35 Package, which adds 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires for improved ground clearance and off-road capability. Buyers can also opt for a Sky One-touch power roof on four-door models, while both two- and four-door versions are available with a black hardtop. A trailer hitch is optional and enables towing of up to 3500 pounds.

What really helps the Laredo stand out compared to the Willys is the cabin. Bison Brown Nappa leather upholstery on heated power-adjustable front seats and Mayan Gold contrast stitching dominate the space. Black trim wraps the dashboard, center console, grab handle, and door armrests, creating a two-tone appearance.

There are also a few playful touches. A custom badge on the center console references the Laredo name, while a plaque on the swing gate features the coordinates of Laredo, Texas. Jeep designers even worked a cowboy hat motif into the HVAC graphics, as a nod to the region that inspired the badge.

Jeep says order books for the 2027 Wrangler Laredo will open later this month. While it hasn't released final pricing, the Wrangler Laredo will cost $1995 more than a Wrangler Willys equipped with the Xtreme 35 Tire Package, placing it near the middle of the Wrangler lineup.
